 After completing my first one I kind of got caught up in the moment of the swirls and the relaxation so I decided to just use Camelia and make this one....

Weekly Challenge #164 - Amanda (Earth) Day

I am the Diva's challenge this week is to tangle something that goes along with Earth Day, or Amanda Day as her son has nicknamed it :)  I kept mine simple this week.

The water is schway,the continents are hurry, and the bow is mak-rah-me.  Schway made me think of the way we live back and forth with the other continents, hurry reminds me of being intertwined, and mak-rah-me is to remind us that we are a package.

This weeks Diva Challange is to use your initials as your string.  I broke the rules somewhat because you are not supposed to be able to see your string when finished, it should disappear, but I thought my initials needed to stand out so I darkened them and then added color :)  My initials are NR

Here is my second try at Quandary from I am the Diva.  I like it better than my first try. 

Weekly Challenge #161: "In a Quandary about Quandary"

This weeks challenge at i am the diva is to use the tangle Quandary. 

Boy, did I struggle with this one!  I definitely need to keep practicing.  In the brown I tried a couple of different techniques, touching/not touching.  Then I decided to do away with the "rice" shape and try a more paisley shape.  I like this shape better as I felt it was more forgiving of my nonperfection. (Yes, I made up that word)  I will have to give Quandary another try later this week.

I am the Diva Weekly Challenge #160: String Theory: Spiral out, Keep Going!

Worked on another spiral this morning as I am home with a sick kid AND it's snowing out, blah!

This weeks the Diva's Challenge is to use Spirals. 

 I LOVE playing with spirals....how can you mess up a spiral?  you CANT, that's why I like to use them.  I felt like I could have put more into mine, but decided to stop, keeping it simple.  May have to do another later this week ;)

Not liking my Mooka....but other than that I am glad that I added the rainbow W2 :)

 is a duotangle consisting of Diva Dance and Crescent Moon

Lots of lines :) I am going to try this tangle again, adding variation, and possibly some shading

 

Here is an updated version with some shading in the Crescent Moon...that definitely gave it some definition

Challenge #155 Open Space

No shading, maybe I need to go back and add some....

 Challenge #154  HeArTs ~~~~  I think this was my favorite, I can tell because I completed so many different ones.  It is wonderful to sort through every one who posted and see their amazing work, gives a newbie like me ideas...

 Challenge #150 ~~ the first I completed.  The one word I want for 2014 is FLEXIBLE.  The ability to be more FLEXIBLE at work, at home, in my marriage, in my life.
