Broken Arm and Laramie Trip

On Tuesday, Devin broke his arm at track.....however, we didn't get it casted until Thursday :/ Yeah my fault, no mother of the year award :(  I assumed it was a bad sprain as there was no swelling, but after 2 days of pain I decided it was time to take him in.  He chipped a part of the bone off in his wrist and a hairline fracture behind that....

Saturday we headed to Laramie for a Science Camp Reunion.   They got into small groups and programmed Lego Robots to traverse along tables set up at 90 degree angle turns.  They had one hour to learn the programming and then compete.  Devin's group of 3 had the best first run out of all 5 groups!  They were only allowed to try it 2 times.  Of course after their two times were completed each group HAD to continue trying to improve their runs.  It was so much fun watching these young science kids continue to try to do better even after the "competition" was done!

On the way home we were fortunate enough to see these elk and buffalo.  On the way to Laramie we saw some Mountain Goats but didn't get the chance to snap any pictures.

Red Rocks

Took the boys up to Red Rocks out side of Denver for a little hike. What a beautiful place. They had a blast going into little caverns in the rocks.
